Falcon Hockey Podcast – Jan. 4, 2019 – “Jay-walking”

Happy New Year from AFAFlightPath.com and the Falcon Hockey Podcast!

As the Air Force hockey team prepares to begin play in the Ice Vegas Invitational on Friday, Jan. 4, we’ve got a special episode for you. We turn the tables on the longtime voice of Falcons hockey – Jay Ritchie – for an in-depth interview about his lengthy radio career in Colorado Springs. Jay discusses his history calling Falcons football, basketball and hockey, as well as other sports and a few of his favorite anecdotes about the team and, of course, coach Frank Serratore.

We also recap the Falcons’ impressive first post-break weekend, when they took three of four points from Bemidji State in a very entertaining series at Cadet Arena. And we look ahead to the Ice Vegas Invitational, where Air Force begins play against St. Lawrence of the ECAC. A date against either Western Michigan of the NCHC or Connecticut of Hockey East awaits after that.

We hope you enjoy the podcast!
