Air Force’s five-game winning streak is its longest in two seasons, and there are several good reasons for that, including scoring balance and excellent defense.

In this episode of the Falcon Hockey Podcast we talk to sophomore goaltender Zach LaRocque, who was Johnny on the Spot this past weekend when senior starter Billy Christopoulos was felled by the flu. LaRocque talks not only about his NCAA starting debut but also the impact that Christopoulos, whom he considers a mentor, has had on him.

Another underclassmen who has made a big impact is freshman forward Kieran Durgan, who was selected Atlantic Hockey’s rookie of the week. Durgan’s five goals are tied with Evan Feno for the team lead and he’s scored a team-high three game-winning goals. He also has got a point in each of the past five victories. How has he adjusted to college hockey so well? He tells us.

And we look ahead to the series at AIC, odd start times and all. That and more make up this episode of the Falcon Hockey Podcast.
