Freshman Willie Reim scored with 3:25 to play in regulation to lift Air Force into a 1-1 tie with Atlantic Hockey leader Robert Morris at Pittsburgh.

The Falcons (4-7-1, 4-3-1-1 AHC) gained a second conference point when junior Max Harper scored 1:36 into the second overtime, but for NCAA purposes the game is a tie. While Air Force’s four-game winning streak came to an end, it did extend its unbeaten streak to five.

Sophomore Alex Schilling made 23 saves, allowing only a goal by Michael Coyne just 2:44 into the game. Schilling has started every game of the Falcons’ unbeaten streak.

The Falcons finished with a 43-24 shots on goal edge and generated 84 total shots. They also got the better of the Colonials (7-4-1, 7-2-1) in the face-off circle, winning 37 of 70 draws.

Reim’s second goal of the season came off assists from senior Brady Tomlak and fellow freshman Blake Bride.

Harper’s strike, his second in two nights, came off a pass from captain Matt Pulver during three-on-three.

The Falcons travel to Niagara (N.Y.) next weekend for conference games Friday and Saturday.
